Welcome to „Teach & Eat“

Cultivated conversation in a very conducive atmosphere. Welcome Hotels are offering their MICE guests a rather unusual dining concept and a cunning way to refresh and polish up their foreign language skills. Our exclusive “Teach & Eat“ after-work dinner concept provides business travellers and conference delegates the opportunity to improve their conversation skills. Every hotel in the Welcome group is offering guests the chance to brush up their small talk, business talk and travel chatter under the watchful eye of a fully trained language teacher from Mondays through to Fridays.

Conversation classes are offered in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Czech and Russian. Our two Welcome hotels in Bamberg are also offering courses in Franconian. The two to three-hour course is accompanied by a culinary 3 to 5-course foray into the cuisine of the country being studied. Bohemian dumplings, coq au vin, roast beef and tapas – nothing is too great a challenge for our Welcome chefs.

Conversation topics range from general small talk through etiquette and culturally related topics about the region. Guests at the Welcome hotels in Essen and Wesel can learn about the Ruhr and the Roman history of the Lower Rhine or specialised topics pertinent to a particular group (max 15 people) can be discussed on request. Our evenings aim to provide our business and conference guests with a unique way to relax and unwind after a hard day’s work in a convivial atmosphere.
